In 1999, at the age of 19, Pierre was wrongfully convicted of an armed assault on a Pittsburgh police station and unrelated robberies. He was sentenced to 50 to 150 years.

He continues to fight the corruption which led to his conviction, and he continues to search for justice, mercy, or reprieve from the sentence imposed.
